Thank you for entrusting your financial planning needs to me and I will continue to commit my very best effort to refine your financial goals according to your life plan.
Back in 2008, I chose this career mainly due to my personal situation. I’m a single parent with 2 young boys to feed, and I realized I have no financial stability just by being a freelance piano teacher. Hence I decided to make a career switch by joining Prudential, but I didn’t make it far as I was doing it on a part time basis while still doing my piano teaching. So I left the industry in 2009. Fast forward to year 2011, I decided to give this career another shot before all my certificates expire, and the rest is history.
The 3 most important qualities that a good Financial Advisor needs to have are: a good smile, strong empathy, and the ability to lend a listening ear. When I was in Prudential, I felt that there is a stigma that I was selling and not what I like, what I thought was helpful for my clients. However , with experience, I realized my edge and advantage when I decided to approach as a life coach to my clients, by giving sound advice and talking in layman terms to understand the importance of financial planning. It took me awhile to figure out that I am in the right industry.
Joining Vision Advisory made me realized how important it is to choose a good team. VA provides an excellent training platform for Financial Advisors as well as an outstanding admin support. If you’re looking for a career, join this industry because you want to help others to be better, not because of your own pursuit to be financially successful. Success for oneself will come when clients become successful. In 2019 I hope to achieve my COT and ChFC accreditation, and to lead a team of my own.
